International understanding of soccer
The Fédération
Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is the international body that is
known to be in charge of all football activities globally. It was formed in
1904, perhaps, I should get my facts rights, and is based in Zurich,
Switzerland. It should be noted that the
body does not work independently but collaboratively with all other bodies that
have been mandated to deal with the football issues in the world. When one
looks at the organization and structure of football, there has been a way in
which continents have been organized to form the continental bodies that deal
with the football matters. One of the major bodies is the African Union, the
European Champions, among other bodies that seek to govern all the footballing
activities at the local level.
Different continents
have a different structure through which they have made their local leagues be
organized. In most of the European countries, each country has a football
league, with the English Premier League and the La Liga of Britain and Spain
being the most popular globally. There have been other countries that have
competitive leagues, but all these have been mainly modified with the
international standards.
The one thing, and
am sure all the football fans are looking forward to is the World Cup. It is an
event
that brings all the countries globally to showcase their talents and
compete amongst each other. It is one of the major sporting events that make
the world to embrace the diversity and to come and share with a shared ideology
of a sporting activity. In Africa, there is the African Cup of Nations that
take place every two years, and the Euro Championships that take place
biannually. It is a trend that is observed among other continents as well.
Well, the World
Cup is one of the things that people are looking forward in 2018. It is a way
in which one of the ways through which football has grown to be a game that
resonates with most of the global population. It is an event that has surpassed
borders, and when one looks at countries that have won the event over the last
two chapters, Spain and Germany, one understands why the sport has become so
popular. It gives all the other countries, and their populace a chance to
relate and belong.
